World Bank report on Logistics Skill Shortage

WB report

The World Bank has published the report of a study that two KLU colleagues and I conducted on logistics skill shortages around the world. It provides empirical support for the frequent claims that logistics / supply chain talent is in short supply. In emerging markets the problem is most acute at the managerial level, while in some developed countries it is at the operative level, particularly in the trucking sector. Numerous reasons were found for the skill shortages. Correcting the problem will require a concerted effort by numerous stakeholders.

The full report, which was co-authored with Christina Busch of the World Bank,  can be downloaded from https://openknowledge.worldbank.org/handle/10986/27723

It is also possible to download a conference paper, a magazine article and presentation summarising the results of this study.
